Officer William Earl Collins Jr., who served as a part-time police officer with the Doyline Police Department, and a full-time correctional supervisor with the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office, was shot and killed while responding to a domestic disturbance Friday evening. A subject in the home opened fire three deputies from the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office as they arrived on the scene.
