Powerful During Emergencies, Useful Every Day - Regroup connects you with the people you care about to keep them safe and informed – anytime, anywhere.

Regroup Mass Notification®, which empowers better mass communication to keep people safe and informed during critical and daily events, is delighted to announce its platform has been nominated for the Sixth Consecutive Year in the Annual ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Program.

Founded at Stanford University in 2006, their award-winning, cloud-based platform is used every day by thousands of organizations to save lives, improve the safety of entire
communities, respond to potential hazards, prepare for emergencies, and more.

Regroup’s easy-to-use system enables administrators to send up to 20,000 voice calls, 65,000 SMS, 100,000 emails, and 540,000 push notifications per minute, rapidly alerting large groups of recipients to danger.

Administrators can also expand their reach by distributing messages via websites, PA systems, digital signage, and more.

(See why Regroup’s award-winning platform is the top choice for emergency and day-to-day notifications for universities, hospitals, corporations, and venues across North America and worldwide. Courtesy of Regroup Mass Notification and YouTube.)

Whether used for emergency or routine communications, Regroup Mass Notification helps organizations across America communicate quickly to improve homeland security, strengthen operational resilience, mitigate risk, and thrive in an increasingly unpredictable world.

“While Regroup was honored to be named the ‘ASTORS’ Platinum Winner for ‘Best Mass Notification System’ in 2019, the group has not simply rested on our laurels, explains company representatives.

Regroup Mass Notification has worked diligently to continue developing its platform and serving the nation toward resiliency and strength.

Below are some of Regoup’s greatest initiatives and accomplishments:

COVID-19 Response:

CivicReady Regroup
This partnership with CivicPlus allows local government users to exclusively leverage the Platinum ‘ASTORS’ Award Winning Regroup Mass Notification emergency and day-to-day notification platform in the local government space. Pictured here, COVID-19 Map Layers that increase situational awareness for city and county leaders.
  • As our nation and the world continues to reel from the impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Regroup has responded proactively to make its system available to as many American cities, counties, and states as possible by offering 90-day risk-free access to the platform, at cost.

  • As the United States faces daily growth in the number of cases and an uncertain economic future, local governments are seeking reliable ways to quickly and efficiently communicate with citizens, staff, service providers, and visitors about supply distribution, aid, testing sites, and more.

  • Since Regroup’s system was built for the types of mass communication local governments need right now, their entire team is honored and grateful to help in this way.

  • To date, 36 cities and counties across the United States have already onboarded to the platform through this offer and have begun communicating with their citizens.

  • Also in response to the pandemic, Regroup released new COVID-19 map layers that work in conjunction with our geo-targeted messaging capabilities.

Regroup Mass Notification
Regroup Mass Notification released mapping layers that let admins visualize the spread of COVID-19 at state and local levels. The map overlays can be toggled on in Regroup’s existing map view when creating a geo-targeted message, and clients will soon be able to view the impacts of the pandemic as they relate to stored addresses for people, groups, and locations in the Regroup system.
  • These new map data layers let admins visualize the spread of COVID-19 at state and local levels, enabling them to view the impacts of the pandemic as they relate to their own staff, offices, and other important locations.

  • Regroup developed this new tool in an effort to equip clients to respond to the current global pandemic, increase situational awareness, and inform their communities.

  • Unlike other mass notification providers, the company made this tool a free addition to its platform rather than an optional upgraded feature, intending the new map layers to serve their clients and their communities rather than generate profit for our business.

  • Data for the map layers is provided by Johns Hopkins University, a global leader in mapping and tracking the pandemic’s spread.

  • In February, Regroup released a major update to its mobile app for administrators.

  • AlertManager allows organizations like schools, businesses, and local governments to easily initiate a notification on the go from any location.

  • Advanced features such as QuickMessage templates facilitate two-tap alerting from an easy-to-use interface.

  • The new version of AlertManager enables admins to send and receive multimodal alerts via text/SMS, text-to-speech, voice, email, and push notifications while being able to access instant reporting for detailed delivery statistics.

  • Regroup has also provided enhanced biometric security features to ensure only authorized individuals can send alerts.

(The AlertManager mobile app enables you to access the full power of Regroup right from your iOS or Android smartphone. Populated recipient lists enable admins to quickly reach specific individuals or entire groups through multiple channels such as cell phones, home landlines, and social media. When combined with prewritten message templates, event-specific multimedia or attachments, and recorded canned voice alerts, it will only take a quick tap to send recipients the information they need to stay safe. San Francisco Fire Department NERT Partnership:

  • Regroup has partnered with the SFFD to enable the department to better communicate with thousands of volunteers that make up the city’s 50 Neighborhood Emergency Response Teams (NERT).

  • NERT connects volunteers with their communities, training them to be volunteer first responders who can help the fire department and others save lives.

  • The SFFD uses Regroup to coordinate the NERT training program, which consists of 20 hours of comprehensive training by professional firefighters.

(NERT is a free training program for individuals, neighborhood groups and community-based organizations in San Francisco. Through this program, individuals will learn the basics of personal preparedness and prevention. The training also includes hands-on disaster skills that will help individuals respond to a personal emergency as well as act as members of a neighborhood response team. Courtesy of SFFD NERT.)

  • Regroup’s platform is also used to communicate ongoing training opportunities, drills, and deployment of NERT teams to action when they’re needed by the local community.

NOAA Weather-Ready Nation Ambassadorship:

  • As part of the Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador program, Regroup is serving an important role by improving the nation’s readiness, responsiveness, and overall resilience against extreme weather, water, and climate events through education, participation in preparedness initiatives, and equipping clients to respond and recover, and more.

Reducing Workplace Violence:

Regroup Mass Notification
Regroups partnerships enable you to send potentially life-saving alerts across your organization’s existing infrastructure and technology, including desktop computers, PA systems, VoIP phones, digital signage, mobile devices, fire panels, and more, without any additional integration costs or expenses.
  • In an effort to prevent active shooter and domestic terrorism incidents in workplaces, Regroup partnered with a strategic security consulting firm to proactively present a widely viewed and shared “Prevent & Prepare For Workplace Violence” webinar.

  • The free session aimed to inform employers and employees on best practices to help keep their workplaces safe.

  • Attendees also gained unique insights pertaining to acts or threats of physical violence, harassment, intimidation, or other disruptive behavior that can occur within any organization.

  • California Charter Schools: In the Central Valley of California — an area that has struggled with social, economic, environmental, and other challenges — Regroup has partnered with charter schools to make its powerful mass communication software more accessible to those that are less likely to be able to afford it.

  • The partnership with 360 Accelerator was first made available to schools that, combined, serve over 15,000 students, making it easier for them to access tools that keep parents and faculty informed at all times, while also increasing school safety during emergencies.

  • In summary, Regroups Mass Notification’s dedication to making continuous service improvements, combined with their heart for the communities they serve, makes their platform one of the Best Mass Notification Systems available.

  • Regroup’s dedication to making our nation more resilient and secure has never been more evident than within the last year.

  • Throughout 2019, the company’s decisions and actions reflected these commitments, and they are committed to continuing to do so in the future, especially during the current Coronavirus Pandemic that is impacting so many people, communities, and businesses in our nation.
