On October 12, 2016, at approximately 2:40 pm, Spenser Cedric Wall, 26, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF) with the assistance of the Durham Police Department.
On October 6, 2016, warrants were issued for Wall by the Durham Police Department for the following charges: robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, conspiracy-robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy.
On the morning of October 6, 2016 the Durham Police Department received a 911 call in reference to a shooting in the 2100 block of Avondale Drive.
They found a 47 year old male with a gunshot wound to the chest during a robbery. The victim was transported to the hospital and is recovering from his injuries.
Surveillance and interviews led the JFTF to a girlfriend’s house located at 4106 Sudbury Road.
The JFTF surrounded and converged on the house taking him into custody without incident. Wall was transported to Durham Police Substation One for processing.
Details concerning conditions of his release are not available at this time.
Wall is also charged with armed robbery in four other cases:
- July 22 in the 1200 block of Liberty Street
- July 24 in the 900 block of Calvin Street
- July 27 in the 500 block of North Guthrie Street
- October 1 in the 1700 block of East Main Street. The victim was struck with a gun and a shot was fired during this incident
