Multiple tips were received regarding last week’s “Fugitive of the Week,” Kyle Bernard Joyce, 31, indicating that Joyce was observed in the area of Queen City Avenue in Manchester, NH.
The US Marshals Fugitive Task Force quickly distributed this information to the Manchester Police Department which was in turn, put out to all patrol units in Manchester.
This successful partner sharing resulted in the quick arrest of Joyce and his girlfriend Melinda Braley, Thursday, 36 on several outstanding arrest warrants.
Joyce had been wanted on five outstanding Belknap County warrants for failing to appear on charges of forgery, fraud, counterfeiting and bail jumping.
Additionally, Joyce had a Hillsborough County warrant for Larceny, as well as several misdemeanor warrants for theft related offenses. Miss. Braley had a Belknap County warrant for failing to appear on drug offenses.
Joyce was just featured as the “Fugitive of the Week” on July 26th.
The “Fugitive of the Week” was aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster’s Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, the Manchester Ink Link and prominently featured on the internet.
The “Fugitive of the Week” has been a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007.
Additionally, the “Fugitive of the Week” is distributed statewide to all law enforcement officers.
Joyce and Braley were arrested without incident in the area of Bronstein Park in Manchester and transported to the Manchester Police Department for processing and holding on his numerous warrants.
“Thank you to the hard work of the men and women of the Manchester Police Department, they were able to locate and arrest two fugitives very quickly,” said U.S. Marshal David L. Cargill.
“We are thankful for the high quality tips that were received today, which greatly accelerated the investigation which led to the safe arrests of both Joyce and Braley.”
Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 6,806 arrests (Updated as of 5/25/2017).
These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses.
Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 7 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
Annually, U.S. Marshals arrest more than 50 percent of all federal fugitives and serve more federal warrants than all other federal agencies combined.
