Vectrus Systems, has been awarded a $97 million U.S. Air Force contract to provide base operations support services at Keesler Air Force Base, in Mississippi. The firm-fixed-price contract has a potential seven year period of performance and represents new work to Vectrus.
“It’s an honor to support our Air Force client at one of the largest technical training wings in the U.S. Air Education and Training Command,” said Chuck Prow, president and chief executive officer of Vectrus.
“Keesler is of strategic importance for Vectrus, as it further expands our work with the Air Force.”
Keesler is home to the 81st Training Wing and is the U.S. Air Force Electronics Training Center of Excellence.

The training center at Keesler Air Force Base handles more than 28,000 students annually.
The base is also home to 2nd Air Force, 403rd Wing (Hurricane Hunters), Mathies Noncommissioned Officer Academy and the 85th Engineering Installation Squadron.

Support provided by Vectrus under the Keesler contract includes:
- Installation and mission operations management
- Installation and facility engineering
- Emergency response management
- Grounds maintenance
- Supply services
- Community services
- Vertical transportation equipment
- Human resources support, and
- Weather services
