Aeroturn LLC, the 2020 ‘ASTORS’ Gold Award Winner for Best Pedestrian Entrance Control Solution, continues to lead the way in perimeter protection solutions even through a global pandemic.
Aeroturn continues to take the high road, as a true leader that has overcome any obstacle in their path for the sake of their customers.
With a true customer first philosophy that is entrenched in everything they do; the chaotic COVID-19 pandemic could not slow them down.
The CT-based turnstile manufacturer makes things happen under the most challenging of circumstances.
Even a global pandemic could not stop Aeroturn from manufacturing and deploying its quality turnstiles in high-profile facilities nationwide, so it’s no wonder that for almost two decades the company has produced the world’s only zero-maintenance turnstile product in Connecticut, 100% manufactured in the USA.
Over the years, Aeroturn has been on a steady growth path and came through a worldwide pandemic shining brightly.
“We are extremely proud that we have been able to adhere to all the COVID-19 guidelines to help our customers; and even ended 2020 on a high note with the highest year over year sales in the history of the company,” explains Michael Stoll, VP of Technical Sales & Marketing at Aeroturn.

With COVID-19 spreading like wildfire, Aeroturn pulled together and made significant changes to its manufacturing facility and protocols to ensure compliance with social distancing and other processes put in place to keep everyone safe.
Deemed as an essential business during the pandemic, nothing could stand in the way of Aeroturn’s unwavering dedication to delivering cutting-edge, highly secure turnstile solutions.
Throughout the pandemic the company continued to design, manufacturer, test, deliver, and install the world’s most reliable turnstile solutions to government agencies, the biopharma industry, schools & campuses, and any type of commercial facility requiring a robust perimeter protection solution.
With 12 full-time and 2 part-time employees on staff, Aeroturn remained focused on keeping everyone safe when the pandemic first reared its ugly head in March 2020.
Some changes implemented internally, included allowing employees to work remotely and contracting outside resources when necessary in red zone areas that were considered hotspots like NY, DC, MD, VA, and CA.
In addition, to help spread out employees that did come into the CT manufacturing facility, Aeroturn expanded into an additional 3500 square foot light industrial space.
The company even installed plastic barriers between employees and utilized the extra square footage to spread out all employees and adhere to social distancing protocols.
Aeroturn Goes The Extra Mile and Travels Cross Country During Pandemic
Taking care of customers is what Aeroturn does best and in 2020 the company once again met and exceeded its customers’ expectations by going the extra mile.
Regardless of all the chaos COVID-19 pandemic created, Aeroturn quickly became compliant with all COVID-19 regulations and made the necessary changes to meet its customers’ needs.
In late 2020 Aeroturn’s VP of Technical Sales & Marketing Michael Stoll embarked on a cross country road trip to ensure that one of its customers could implement the Aeroturn turnstiles successfully for an important end user – a high end Las Vegas resort needing to protect their employee dining room entrance way and prevent unauthorized access.
With a short timeframe to complete the project and adhering to all COVID-19 work restrictions, Michael rolled up his sleeves and hit the road and drove 2,793 miles in 3 & 1/2 days to help the customer.
The project consisted of six lanes of turnstiles with two X-Wing turnstiles and four Rotary turnstiles installed with a custom stainless steel finish all within only two and a half days on-site.
The project was a huge success and a great way for Aeroturn to end the year on a high note.
Earlier in 2020, the Biopharma industry needed to be proactive when it came to securing its entrance ways with quality, reliable turnstiles to protect valuable vaccine research.
With the requests for turnstiles highly expedited at these vaccine manufacturing facilities; Aeroturn was ready to deliver and handle the influx.
Aeroturn offered the Biopharma industry turnstiles that never had a single lane replacement due to performance failure in 17 years. Additionally, every Aeroturn customer is offered a 10 million passage guarantee without required maintenance, industry leading 5-year warranty and zero-maintenance mechanics.
Furthermore, Aeroturn was also selected by a leading housing finance lender in 2020 to secure entrance ways of multiple buildings at their Virginia campus.
Aeroturn teamed up with one of its partners to implement an integrated security solution for the nation’s housing finance giant.
Aeroturn rose to the challenge developing a customized turnstile solution that could integrate easily with brand new biometric facial recognition readers with high throughput capabilities.
Having a contactless security solution was crucial for customers during the pandemic which has helped to keep everyone entering the building safe.
Crosses The Finish Line A Winner
At the end of 2020, Aeroturn was awarded the 2020 Gold ASTORS Award for the Best Pedestrian Entrance Control Solution – for the third consecutive year, from American Security Today.
Aeroturn‘s commitment to securing the government sector is second to none with quality turnstile solutions that continues to set the bar in the industry.
The company has made its national footprint by working with high profile security integrators nationwide on deployments of robust turnstile solutions in both regional and national GSA state and federal courthouses.
“Our fully-locked module deterrent turnstiles have been customized for each location to match the increasing level of required security and life safety in government courthouses,” said Stoll.
With a performance specification of 10-million cycles, 5-year warranty, zero-maintenance mechanics, 100% Made in USA turnstiles, 10-Year MTBF, no preventative maintenance requirements, factory direct delivery & installations, and a 20-year minimum expected service life; Aeroturn turnstiles meet and exceeds all GSA requirements unlike most turnstile manufacturers.
There is uncertainty around when the COVID-19 pandemic will finally come to an end, but one thing that we can all be sure about is Aeroturn’s commitment to its customers.
Being able to navigate around any obstacle is the key to success.
Where there is a will, there is a way… and Aeroturn has proved in 2020 that they can adapt to any situation.
This will keep them on the high road to success now and well into the future.
